Heatwave consists of 3 redpoint bouldering rounds held over the PEAK HEAT of Oklahoma summer (don’t threaten us with a good time). These events are 100% FREE for our active members. Single event entry can be purchased by non members at $30 per event which grants access to the facility from 6-10p on the event day. Round 1 kicks off in Edmond, Round 2 in Midtown, and our final Heatwave Round 3 throw down will be in Edmond. Awards for individual nights and prizes for series winners. Heatwave echoes the collective energy of elite level routesetting, a community that’s hungry to throw down on amazing rock climbs. The design of heatwave is inspired by decades of bouldering history in Oklahoma where lifelong friendships were built during this high energy community bouldering competitions.

Beginner V0-V3

Intermediate V2-V5

Advanced V4-V7

Open V8+

Each category will have 7 climbs eligible for points during each round. Those climbs will be clearly marked with a placard that has the category first letter on it (B,I,A,O). Some climbs will have 2 categories marked on the placard.

Points awarded for holds marked with a ZONE tag, and points for the match of a TOP hold. Scoring is merit based and requires peer signature on score card.

RULES

Redpoint bouldering means you cannot “project climbs”. Every attempt must be a ground up attempt. Attempts must be tracked by the climber in case of a tie.

Be cool. This means don’t cheat, share the wall, cheer others on, brush holds for someone else… mostly just think of others before yourself. We know you will, that’s why you’re here!
